How to play
Board: 11×11. The 4 corners and the centre throne are special — only the King may rest on them.
Move: every piece moves like a rook — any number of empty squares along a row or column. No jumping.
Attackers (24 dark) move first and try to capture the King. Defenders (12 light + gold King) try to walk the King to any corner.
Capture: trap an enemy soldier between two of your pieces (or between a piece and a corner / empty throne) along a line. You capture only by moving into the trap. A red diamond on a highlighted square means that move captures.
King capture: the King is taken only when attackers surround it on all four sides (the empty throne counts as one side). It is safe against the board edge.
Encirclement: if the attackers ever enclose the King and all remaining defenders in one unbroken ring, the attackers win.
Repetition: if the exact same position occurs three times, the defenders have failed to vary — attackers win (Copenhagen rule). Note: exit forts are not implemented, so a defender fortress cannot win by holding position — the King must reach a corner.
Win: Defenders win if the King reaches a corner. Attackers win by capturing the King, by encirclement, or by repetition. A side with no legal move loses.
Keyboard: arrow keys move around the board, Enter/Space selects and moves.
